Shooting An Elephant

From the definition of enemy, it can be inferred that the Burmese and George Orwell were enemies to eachother. The Burmese were very hostile towasrds George Orwell believing that since he was a British, he possed more power over the Burmese, posing a threat to their race. Therefore, they detested George Orwell.
In return, George Orwell felt that the Burmese were his biggest enemies due to the resentment they showed againest him. Their behavior towards George Orwell was very aggressive.
In my opinion, both groups of people, the Burmese and the British(George Orwell) actively opposed eachother as a result of misconceptions about race and superiority.
